Guangdong reported 24 new asymptomatic cases, 19 in Guangzhou (18 locally transmitted, 1 imported), 3  in Foshan (locally transmitted), 1 in Dongguan (locally transmitted) and 1 in Shenzhen (imported from Hubei).

Among Guangzhou’s 19 asymptomatic cases, most of them had been to high-risk places with clusters of cases reported recently: 3 visiting Firuz Bistro, and 8 in Tongtong Trading City and Guangda Trading city.

As of midnight of Apr.16, 5 new domestic cases had been reported, 4 in Guangzhou (3 previously asymptomatic cases, 1 detected in fever clinic), 1 in Shenzhen (from Hubei province).

Driver in Tangxia confirmed after visiting high risk places

A driver living in Jieyuan Street, Tangxia Village of Tianhe District was confirmed on Apr. 16. Epidemiological survey showed that he had repeatedly driven people to case hot spots. The driver, however, didn’t keep mask on his face during the whole drive, or open the car windows.

On Apr.14, having sore throat and fever, the patient went to the hospital and tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Guangdong had confirmed 1 more imported case (Chinese nationality), according to the Health Commission of Guangdong Province.
