Many Chinese Embassies in foreign countries recently announced that passengers bound for China now need to take nucleic acid test within 3 days (72 hours), instead of the previous 5 days requirement before departure.

According to the latest announcement from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Canada:

Chinese embassies to countries including Argentina, Australia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Dominica, France, Gabon, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Madagascar, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Serbia,South Africa, Swaziland, Sweden also released similar announcements. Please visit the website of local Embassy for detailed information due to different dates when the policy takes into effect.

On July 21st, Civil Aviation Administration, General Administration of Customs, and China's Foreign Ministry announced that all travelers arriving in the Chinese mainland should hold a negative nucleic acid test certificate no older than 5 days before boarding.
