“The way Zhong Nanshan explained the COVID-19 and the epidemic control measures taken in China really give us a sense of safety,” said Nell Delvy Ngouma Moudouma, a student of Southern Medical University.

Nell attended a special seminar on April 15th, during which he gained the chance to communicate with Zhong Nanshan, China's leading respiratory disease expert.

“Now we gain more knowledge about the virus and the epidemic control measures in Guangzhou,” said Nell, “we also understand why it took so quick to control the outbreak here. Quarantine is the most important solution. And because Chinese people are more likely to comply with the regulations, they control the virus easily.”

Nell said the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is still growing in African countries, and they don’t know how to control yet. “I will share the solutions I learned from the seminar with some scientists in my country to help control the outbreak there.”
