Case 1: a 64-year-old French male, who previously lived in Zhongcun, Panyu District. He returned to China from France and was later tested positive for the virus after arriving in Guangzhou. This is the 2nd imported case in Guangzhou.
Case 2: a 26-year-old Chinese male. He returned to Fujian Province from the Philippines, entering China through Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. This is the 3rd imported case in Guangzhou.
Case 3: a 19-year-old Chinese female studying in UK. This is the 4th imported case in Guangzhou.
People who were on the same flight/bus/train and suspect they may have come into contact with the cases, should be aware of the health risks.
As of 24:00, March 16th, Guangdong had reported 1,364 COVID-19 cases in total from the beginning of the outbreak (including 14 imported cases), 8 deaths and 1307 cases discharged from hospital. There is 1 new recovery. 497 close contacts of the patients are under medical observation.
Of the 49 patients still in hospital, there are 4 mild cases, 30 normal cases, 3 severe cases and 12 critical cases.
