Home to a permanent resident population of over 70,000 and a mobile population of about 42,000, Dengfeng Community in Yuexiu District is one of the hottest places for foreign nationals and people of ethnic minority groups to do businesses and visit friends in Guangzhou because of the adjoining Islamic places for Muslims and foreign trade markets in Xiaobei.

Due to the diverse population, high population mobility, language and culture differences, Dengfeng has faced many difficulties in providing services to its ethnically diverse residents. After years of efforts made by the local government bodies and its people, the Community has managed to put in place a number of practical services for its residents, including solution-oriented services for expats and people of ethnic minority groups.
There is a Community Service Station for Foreigners in each of the 18 communities across Yuexiu District. The station in Dengfeng is located at the community's Foreigner Service Center on No. 5 Tongxin Road, offering comprehensive, free services to its residents.

The services interact with people's daily life in almost every aspect, ranging from free nucleic acid tests and quarantine for medical observation at designated venues for all inbound passengers, with the community as their destination during the pandemic, to free Chinese classes and cultural experience activities for expats to blend into the local community.
