"Song Lujing is such an artist who combines the essence of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy with experiences of life, so as to express his true self. The artistic concepts and philosophy of life embodied in his creations interpret the values and possibilities of traditional Chinese paintings in this era." Wang Shaoqiang, the director of Guangdong Museum of Art, shared this comment in the introduction of Song Lujing's solo exhibition held from July 23, 2021.

Song Lujing's Chinese painting exhibition entitled "Red of Lingnan" is now underway at the Guangdong Museum of Art till August 13, with Wang Shaoqiang as the curator. Born in 1970, Song is a National First-Class Artist and deputy director of Guangzhou Academy of Art.

In the field of Chinese painting, Song Lujing is considered as one of the important art practitioners and explorers. He is not only skilled in painting, but also in calligraphy, seal carving and collecting. In addition, he is adept at applying a variety of painting styles and techniques.

After traveling almost half of China, Song has a profound insight into the cultures of both southern and northern China. Due to his rich experience, broad horizon and artistic knowledge, he can create different kinds of artworks with seemingly effortless artistry.

The Guangdong Museum of Art has always been dedicated to the case studies of young and middle-aged artists in Guangdong. The current exhibition of Song Lujing displays over 100 of his artworks, such as landscape paintings as well as bird and flower paintings created over the past 15 years. Therefore, it is the most comprehensive individual exhibition of Song Lujiang in recent years. If you are interested in traditional Chinese paintings, don't miss out!

How to participate: Please line up at the entrance of the museum with your passport to register your personal information and health condition before entry.

Tips:

● There will be 100 on-site registration quotas available in the morning and in the afternoon respectively. First come, first served.

● Only individual visitors get admissions, and each adult is allowed to bring one minor under the age of 14.
