On September 11 and 12, a drama named Ren Shi Jian will be performed at Guangzhou Opera House. This drama has been adapted from a novel of the same name, with Liang Xiaosheng, a well-known writer and scriptwriter in China, as the author.

The drama visually presents the life of the Chinese people over the past 50 years. It covers stories from the cities to the countryside, from snowy Northeast China to vast Southwest China, from ordinary people to officials and employees, perfectly representing the country's development process and people's life experiences.

It is an authentic epitome of the real life of the Chinese people with details ranging from a small kettle, a table and a wall, to the dress code, the growth of the characters and social issues. It serves as a gateway for you to have a deeper glimpse of the how life in China has been over the past five decades.

"We want to pay tribute to the real life of China over the past 40 years, to various characters from all walks of life who have contributed to the Reform and Opening-up of the country for the past 40 years," said the author Liang Xiaosheng.
