As July begins, Guangdong enters its post-flood season (July to September). During this period, tropical systems such as typhoons become the main source of rainfall, while in their absence, temperatures are expected to rise rapidly.

According to the Guangdong Meteorological Service, from July 1 to 2, under the influence of a strengthening subtropical high and southerly airflow, most areas will experience cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms. Some storms may be intense in central and southern regions.
On July 2, cities in eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong, and the Pearl River Delta are forecast to experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms, with localized downpours. The highest temperature will reach 34℃–36℃ in the northern and eastern regions, and 31℃–34℃ elsewhere.
On July 3, thunderstorms are expected in cities including Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Jiangmen, and western Guangdong. Other areas will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with isolated showers. Temperatures will range from 33℃–35℃ along the southern coast and 35℃–37℃ elsewhere.
