From June 17 to 19, most parts of Guangdong will continue to witness thunderstorms in the 30℃ heat. The rain will gradually ease up before a new wave of storms expected to hit Guangdong on June 20, according to Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.
On June 17, the Pearl River Delta, Qingyuan, Meizhou and Heyuan are expected to see heavy rain and localized torrential rain. Eastern Guangdong will experience moderate to heavy rain. Thundershowers and localized heavy rain are forecast in the remaining areas. The highs in Zhanjiang and Maoming are 32℃ to 35℃, 28℃ to 32℃ in the rest of the region.
On June 18, there will be moderate to heavy rain in west Guangdong, Shaoguan and Qingyuan. Other regions are to see overcast skies with thundershowers. The highs in Zhanjiang, Maoming and Yunfu are 32℃ to 35℃, 29℃ to 32℃ in other regions.
On June 19, most of the province will be cloudy with overcast periods and scattered heavy rain. The highs across the province will be 31℃ to 35℃.
