Starting July 8, China Southern Airlines has introduced a new boarding service on its Guangzhou-Beijing Daxing route, allowing passengers to complete security and reach the gate as late as 15 minutes before departure.
The initiative ends the traditional check-in cut-off time at airport counters, typically 30 to 40 minutes before departure for domestic flights, giving travelers more flexibility. Passengers can now bypass the usual time constraints, which is especially useful for last-minute business trips, early morning or late-night flights, and frequent travelers.
As an upgrade to the airline's China Southern Air Shuttle service, the new offering retains key perks including priority check-in, fast-track security, and expedited baggage claim.
However, passengers checking in luggage must still complete bag drop at least 30 minutes before takeoff. For those who arrive later, China Southern offers two options: delayed baggage delivery on a later flight for self-pickup or a paid "baggage-to-home" service with direct delivery from origin to destination.
