New mural-covered walls, new development ideas: how Shanwei's village stands out

This is Shuita Village in Meilong Town, Haifeng County, Shanwei City, where each house dons a unique "new outfit" amidst eco-ponds and parks. A dedicated bus stop and village sign greet visitors. "The park was once all grass," says villager Hu Jingsong. "Now, mornings and evenings buzz with tea, dancing, and picnics—it's vibrant!" The "Strong Village Company + Village Artisans" model revitalized this mountain hamlet. E-commerce leader Mei Jiaqi credits rural revitalization policies for attracting talent. "Beauty here," adds Party Secretary Weng Jiping, "lies not just in homes but in every villager's passion for building their hometown."
