Phantom of the Opera is widely considered one of the most spectacular productions ever, and it has been seen by over 160 million people in 46 countries and 193 cities in 21 languages worldwide.

The upcoming musical remains faithful to Cameron Mackintosh's version produced by the Really Useful Group in 1986. Guangzhou will then be the only place to watch the original English version outside London's West End.

The Executive Director Rainer Fried has been working on Phantom of the Opera for 30 years, participating in multiple international tours as well as the production of the musical's Chinese version. Kristen Blodgette, as the Music Supervisor, has participated in the production of 20 different versions of the musical.
