A new multilingual media platform, South, was launched on the morning of July 3rd by Nanfang Media Group to strengthen international communication in Guangdong.
At the reader salon held in the afternoon, the platform announced a group of South Stringers. These content creators have previously collaborated with GDToday and will continue to share their perspectives on life in southern China through the new platform.
Among them was Priyasha Sharma from India.
Priyasha Sharma emphasized the necessity for the world to know about Guangdong's splendor, citing her own experience. "A lot of our foreign friends are not aware of how beautiful Guangdong is. I was just shooting two weeks ago for South about Maoming city and the lychee festival. The world really needs to know how amazing Guangdong is and how incredible South China is," she said.
As the rebranded successor to GDToday, South offers a multilingual website, an English-language app, a global social media presence, and international media partnerships—reaching over 20 million users worldwide.
