Miss Scuba China Candidates dazzling Shenzhen

The Miss Scuba China contest was held in Shenzhen Dapeng New Area on Sunday and Monday, in which some candidates made a dazzling appearance and helped to promote ocean environment protection.

After receiving a training course on reef check offered by Liao Baolin, the secretary general of the Reef Check China, they participated in a series of activities including clearing the ocean rubbish, shooting a slogan and spreading such awareness in the local community.

According to Liao, there will be 31 reef check in Guangzhou this year, with corporations teaming up to conduct the reef check together with voluntary divers.

Reef Check is an international non-profit organization devoted to protecting tropical coral reefs through education, research and conservation. Miss Scuba China is a sub-category of Miss Scuba International, the world’s first beauty contest for female scuba divers who help raise public awareness of protecting the ocean environment.
