On July 29th, 2018, the annual joint conference of CAMPUS Asia project was held in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). Participant universities also included Dongseo University of Busan, South Korea, and Ritsumeikan University of Kyoto, Japan.

Under governmental cooperation, CAMPUS Asia, or the Collective Action for Mobility Program of University in Asia, is a new type of program for educational exchange among the three universities, aiming at training foreign language talents.

As the “Belt and Road Initiative” calls for more innovation and international cooperation, GDUFS officially initiated the program in 2012, as one of the first ten pilot projects that focus on fostering university students with foreign language proficiency, inter-disciplinary skills, and creativity. The CAMPUS Asia team of GDUFS is the only one approved in Guangdong Province, and the only discipline team in foreign language, among the ten pilot projects. Every year GDUFS admits 20 students exclusively, and the whole project will take 4-4.5 year. The other two universities separately take in 20 students each year as well.
