The 19th CPC National Congress is scheduled to start on October 18th of 2017, marking a key point for China’s development.
In the past five years, Guangdong, a southern province neighboring Hong Kong and Macao, implemented important instructions from CPC Central Committee and the Central Government, especially the "Four Insistence, Three Support, Two Pioneering" guidelines instructed by President Xi Jinping on the province's work, and has achieved a lot of progress in economic and social development and attracted enormous international attentions. Besides, Guangdong continued to increase its R&D input. Patent applications reached 150.6 thousand in 2016, which doubled the number in 2012.
Cisco signed an MoU with Guangdong in 2016, and invested huge in the Smart City Project in Panyu of Guangzhou as well as the Tonghu Science City in Huizhou this year in 2017.
Our smart city project in Panyu brought in Cisco’s partners outside China, and collaborate to expand upon innovative technologies, such as autonomous driving and clean energy, and to build new business models and change the entire industry. Guangdong and Limburg Province of Belgium established sisterhood in 2015. We set up the “Located in Limburg” organization to help Guangdong entrepreneurs set up businesses in Limburg and guide them to realize our regulations.

In 2016, the import and export volume of Guangdong’s cultural products reached 43.79 billion USD with the export volume amounted to 41.81 billion USD, ranking first in all provinces of the country with a trade surplus of 39.83 billion USD.

I went to the foot of Baiyun Mountain before starting to design. My eyes were full of various trees and flowers, and my ears full of birds’ singing. It was not so easy to hear birds’ singing in the urban area! This trip inspire me to design a streamline shape for the roof as if Baiyun Mountain stretched here.” More
