Dragon Boat Festival is also known as Double Fifth Festival in Huizhou. During the 1st to 6th day of the fifth lunar month, dragon boat racing is organized by tradition. It flourished for thousands of years.
On Double Fifth Festival, rivers usually rise in Huizhou, and the swollen waters arouse the enthusiasm of local people to take part in boat racing. By the riverside of Dongjiang, all the involved dragon boats would participate in the opening ceremony before the game, and take turns to compete.
