Located only 3 kilometers from Canton tower, Haizhu Wetland Park, the “heart” of Guangzhou, is the first national wetland park in the city and the largest downtown wetland park in China’s super metropolises. It is a great place to visit, with thousand of flowers, 142 species of birds, 344 species of plants and a multitude of fish.

How to get there: Take Metro Line 3 to Datang station, Exit B, and then transfer to bus line: 761, 264,170,762,206 or 45 and go to Longtan village station.

Located in hilly land, Guifeng Village boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters. It is a main production area of Sanhua Plum in Conghua. Besides, Guifeng Mountain in the village, with its peak elevation of 1085 meters, is the headwaters of Liuxi River.

Located in the north end of Guangzhou, Lianma Village is hailed as the ‘north gate of Guangzhou’. Lianma is one of the 10 characteristic towns developed by Conghua District. In Lianma, there is art hostel, RV camping base, painting creation base, natural mineral water factory, music valley, forest park, garden, tofu mill, wine workshop, etc.

Guangji Bridge in Chaozhou (潮州广济桥)

Renowned as one of China's four famous ancient bridges, Guangji Bridge crosses the Hanjiang in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province. It is the bateau (pontoon) bridge in China, and perhaps even in the world.The other three famous spans the Zhaozhou Bridge, the Lugou Bridge in Beijing and Luoyang Bridge.

Transport: Take Chaozhou bus No.3 or No.10 to Hanci Station.

Located in the southwest of Yingde City, mid-north Guangdong, the Yingxi Corridor of Mountain Peaks (also known as Yingxi Fenglin) is said to have the best mountain peaks in south China. This area features a spectacular Karst landscape with brooks, caves and ancient buildings. Besides, there are more than 1,000 mountain peaks around there, which are ideal for rock climbing. In 2002 the area developed a special route for rock climbers.

Does a tour around a picturesque lake surrounded by airy pavilions, bridges, pagodas and meandering lanes sound enticing? West Lake in Huizhou is the right place to go. What’s more, it is bestowed with historical heritage. West Lake Tourist Resort situates at the center of Huicheng District of Huizhou, a city in south-east Guangdong. As a national AAAA rating tourist resort, it is known for the five lakes, six bridges and fourteen sightseeing spots.

Opening Hours: 7:00-22:30 (summer), 6:30-22:00 (winter)

Admission: Free for the tourist resort; fee needed for individual scenic spots, including Fengzhu Garden: RMB 20 per ticket; Dongpo Garden: RMB 10 per ticket; Baota Mountain: RMB 5 per ticket, etc.

Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in the southern part of Huizhou in Guangdong. It is adjacent to Pingshan District in Shenzhen and about 120km from the Dongguan city center. It has a positive investment climate and is the only petrochemical base in the eastern coast of the Pearl River Delta.

Sanmen Isle is the largest isle on Daya Bay. Its coast twists and turns, with blue sky and fair sand. There are 5 gulfs whose radius is over 300 meters (one of them is the fantastic sand beach), so they are suitable for sea sport like sailboard, water skiing, water motor, surfing, diving, fishing and beach volleyball.

Crowned as the “Oriental Hawaii”, Hailing Island is the fourth largest island in Guangdong, China. It is located in the southwestern coastal area in Yangjiang. It was awarded as one of “China’s top 10 most beautiful islands” by Chinese National Geography from 2005 to 2007.

The Weilong House of Meizhou City is considered as one of the five most distinctive folk dwelling houses of China along with Beijing's Courtyard, Shaanxi's Cave Dwellings, Guangxi’s Stilted House and Yunnan’s Yikeyin Dwellings. Nowadays, Weilong House has become a historical site and an unique landscape. Hundreds of Weilong Houses are preserved in Meizhou urban area and suburb within 40 kilometers.

The leaves of gingko trees turn chartreuse to golden yellow during the middle of November and early December. Covering nearly 67 square kilometers, Nanxiong is the lowest altitude natural gingko area in China. The trees are mainly spread throughout Pingtian, Youshan, Maozifeng, Zhutian and 18 other towns. As the “Hometown of Gingko Trees,” Nanxiong has more than 5,000 gingko trees. Among them, more than 1,000 trees are over 100 years old, and the oldest one is more than 1,600 years old.

Nangang Thousand-year Yao Village

As the largest, oldest and best preserved Yao minority village in China and even the world, Nangang Thousand-year Yao Village was built on limestone hills, some 800 meters above sea level. Bus: Take the deluxe express bus to Liannan at Guangdong Provincial Long-Distance Bus Station, which will take about 3 hours. Then take a bus directly to the destination. Driving Routes: Liannan Yao Autonomous County is about 220 kilometers from Guangzhou. Take the Guang-Hua Expressway to Qingyuan and then get on the Qing-Lian Expressway (to Sanpai or Liannan Exit). It will take about three hours.
