Baihedong Street (白鹤洞街), Zhongnan Street (中南街), Dongjiao Street (东漖街) and Chongkou Street (冲口街) in Guangzhou's Liwan District, have now been classified as medium-risk areas on May 29, according to the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission. Now the city has six medium-risk areas in total, and all are in Liwan District.

Also, the city has issued the latest notice for COVID-19 prevention, with specific requests for Liwan District, Liurong Street (六榕街), Guangta Street (光塔街) in Yuexiu District, Ruibao Street (瑞宝街), Binjiang Street (滨江街) in Haizhu District, Huanggang Community of Shijing Jie (石井街凰岗社区), Dongfeng Village and Liangtian Village of Zhongluotan Town (钟落潭镇东凤村、良田村) in Baiyun District, and Nancun Community, Meishan Village, Kengtou Village of Nancun Town (南村镇南村社区、梅山村、坑头村区) in Panyu District.

In Liwan's Baihedong Street (白鹤洞街), Zhongnan Street (中南街), Dongjiao Street (东漖街) and Chongkou Street (冲口街):

All residents are required to stay at home，except for allowing one person of each family to buy daily necessities per day.

Entertainment venues, indoor cultural facilities, wholesale markets (except farmer's markets), kindergartens, and training institutes are shut. Also, dine-in services are required to suspend.

In other areas of Liwan, Yuexiu's Liurong Street (六榕街), Guangta Street (光塔街), Haizhu's Ruibao Street (瑞宝街), Binjiang Street (滨江街), Baiyun's Huanggang Community of Shijing Jie (石井街凰岗社区), Dongfeng Village and Liangtian Village of Zhongluotan Town (钟落潭镇东凤村、良田村), Panyu's Nancun Community, Meishan Village, Kengtou Village of Nancun Town (南村镇南村社区、梅山村、坑头村区):

Residents are required to refrain from going out and not to participate in gathering activities. Entertainment venues, indoor cultural facilities, wholesale markets (except farmer's markets), kindergartens and training institutes are suspended. Dine-in services are not allowed in restaurants.

In other areas of the city:

It is recommended not to hold mass gathering activities such as large-scale parties and dinners. And conferences are suggested to be held online.

People are required to make an appointment before entering indoor public places. These places are restricted to 75% of the maximum reception capacity of entertainment venues and other closed public areas.

Previously, Liwan's Huixin Ge in Jinlong Community, Longjin Street (龙津街锦龙汇鑫阁) and Heyuan Xiaoqu (鹤园小区) have been elevated to medium-risk areas for COVID-19 since May 22 and May 26, respectively.
