Sino-Deutsch AI future to be strengthened in Gongbei

The third China-Germany Artificial Intelligence Conference (CGAIC) will be held in Zhuhai on Thursday, Nov 15 promising access to popular experts, the best technologies, and quality investors.

The conference will be jointly held by Zhuhai 4D Age Technology and the China-Germany Artificial Intelligence Institute at the InterContinental Zhuhai at Lanyard Marine Center in Gongbei. Together with R&D institutions in the AI field, they will promote the "Development Strategy on the New Generation of Artificial Intelligence."

Parallel sessions will consist of shows of cutting-edge technologies in autopilot, intelligent robots, and AI chips. Another show concerns cutting-edge technologies in IoT, big data, virtual and augmented reality, and 3D digitization.

At a concurrent AI Developers Forum, global AI research institutions, and AI experts and developers will share their knowledge and research findings with registered attendees. Open to the public is the AI Exhibition at which international AI elite teams display outstanding works and related applications.

Revolving around the theme "Intelligently Made in China & Germany, Create a Better Future," the event will be a mix of the latest technology exhibits, reporting of the latest industry results, matchmaking, and sharing of successful applications.

Touch screen showing cultural relics allowing all-at-once operation

The conference will welcome talks by Professor Dr Didier Stricker, father of the Industry 4.0 concept and director of science at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI GmbH); Dr Walter Olthoff, founder of DFKI; and Dr Cui Yan, founder of Zhuhai 4D Age Technology and president of the Zhuhai Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Manufacturing (AI & IM) Research Institute.

Other companies, such as Berlin-based Seatris.ai and Dusseldorf-based Vathos, will give insight into AI-based restaurant managing methods and shop automation practices.

Alongside the exhibition will be a developer forum featuring top academic researchers publicizing machine-learning research and application results, 3D digital camera development, and 3D model platform construction.

Data collection system recording body information

According to the organizers, the forum will provide researchers with open source code including modules about small objects, large scenes, and face and object recognition.

More than 20 well-known museums and academic institutions in China, which have gained broad exposure by innovatively using AI technology to promote cultural relics, will also be featured. They include the National Palace Museum, Renmin University of China, and Guangdong Museum.

The domestic AI industry will have its first strategic alliance established during the event. It will consist of more than 10 hi-tech enterprises including 4D Age Technology, Corerain Technologies, and Zeen Group.

The conference is sponsored by the Zhuhai National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and organized by the zone's Science & Technology Industry Bureau, China-Germany Artificial Intelligence Institute (CGAII), and Zhuhai Hi-Tech Construction Investment.
