Guangzhou enterprises reap benefits at Shanghai import expo

Several Guangzhou enterprises have signed orders in the first two days of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) worth more than $100 million.

Guangdong Fenghua Advanced Technology Co, a high-tech listed company engaged in the production of new high-end components and electronic materials, has made deals with two South Korean companies worth $10.35 million and $114 million.

Wang Guangjun, president of the company, said that the scale of the first import expo is beyond expectations and it is a good opportunity for buyers.

China Southern Power Grid signed contracts with five foreign enterprises, including Siemens Co Ltd, power grids technology leader ABB Group, and Toshiba electronic components, to purchase equipment for a key project in Guangdong province.

Moreover, e-commerce enterprise VIPSHOP signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Gènavant, a British luxury brand on Nov 6. VIPSHOP will be the only e-commerce partner of Gènavant in China.
