Shopping in Guangzhou about to get even better!

A shopaholic's heaven, a gourmand's dream and a delight for families: the 2018 Guangzhou International Shopping Festival, is a month-long shopping gala held from September 29th to October 28th.

The festival offers a diverse range of exciting activities across the city. Guangzhou has hosted this annual event partnering with different countries. Since 2012 it has worked with Singapore, France, England, Australia, the United States, New Zealand and Canada. This year it will partner with Germany to bring German culture, art, business brands and technological achievements to Guangzhou.

On September 29th, the Tianhe Road Chamber of Commerce will sign a MoU with the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry during the opening ceremony. Through this alliance, both sides will work to enhance cooperation in respect to brand introduction and promotion, trade, technology and cultural exchange.

Shopping & Food

As the event’s main venue, Tianhe Business Circle will launch a variety of promotions covering consumer goods, restaurants, entertainment, hotels, and IT.

The Singleton Whisky Pop-up shop and its brand road show will be set up in TaiKoo Hui. The Sino-German Auto Show and brand exhibition will be held across Onelink Walk, Parc Central and Galaxy Computer Plaza. Fashion Week will be held at Grandbuy and Mopark.

Furthermore, a joint exhibition of German food and local Guangdong delicacy will be held. A number of shopping malls including Grandview, Mopark, Tianyu Plaza and Grandbuy will host German Beer activities. K11 will open a German-themed shop with Corner’s Deli selling German beer, German bread & desserts and other products.

Models of German landmarks and icons will be feature points of the malls and squares in Tianhe mentioned above, for example Grandview Mall will have models of the Brandenburg Gate, New Swan Stone Castle and Romer Square. Furthermore, Onelink Walk will host a German art exhibition and Berlin Light Show, while VT101 will launch a Sino-German cultural market, music festivals, street dance competitions, Chinese and German handicraft exhibitions and more.
