A series of connection services was developed by Guangzhou Public Transport Group to benefit passengers from Hong Kong as the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link started running on Sept 23.

A joint transportation card of Guangzhou Yangchengtong and Hong Kong Octopus was made available so passengers could use it in both Guangzhou and Hong Kong, which should make travel easier. Customized bus routes are opened from Guangzhou South Railway Station to Guangzhou Railway Station, Nanhai Station, and others, and can be adjusted to meet demand.

Taxis are also arranged for circular service and their numbers can be varied at any time according to the situation. Medium and high-end cars with five seats and seven seats are available for passengers who need personalized car service.

For long-distance transport, on the one hand high-end commercial vehicles and minibuses provide custom-made lines to Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan and other urban agglomerations in the Dawan area for arriving passengers, especially late at night. On the other hand, luxury buses and commercial vehicles provide charter services for groups of travelers arriving by Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail.

All the services introduced above can be accessed on Ruyuechangxing, an integrated service platform developed by Guangzhou Public Transport Group. Passengers only need to follow the official WeChat account of Ruyuechangxing to review and book multiple modes of transport connection services, such as taxi, shuttle bus, the inter-city bus and so on. The platform also provides counseling and recharge services for passengers with Yangchengtong-Octopus cards.

Passengers can also get help at the service center in the arrival hall of Guangzhou South Railway Station.
