According to the National Meteorological Center, the 23rd typhoon of the year ‘Barijat’ is approaching the Leizhou Peninsula, while the 22nd typhoon ‘Mangkhut’ will make landfall in Guangdong on September 16th.
The National Meteorological Center predict that typhoon ‘Barijat’ will continue to strengthen and transform into the most powerful typhoon this year.
In light of the predicted route, typhoon ‘Mangkhut’ is set to hit coastal areas of Guangdong Province this weekend. However, National Meteorological Center analysts indicated that the 23rd typhoon would possibly turn toward Japan, due to a westerly depression.
Though typhoon ‘Mangkhut’ is still far out, typhoon ‘Barijat’ is set to hit Dianbai County and the Leizhou Peninsula on or around September 13th.
As a result of the typhoons torrential rains will spread across Southern Guangdong and the Leizhou Peninsula throughout September 12th and 13th acompanied by force 8-10 gales.
