Guangzhou Evergrande beat Shanghai Greenland 2-1 in CSL

Substitute Yang Liyu's header helped the host Guangzhou Evergrande seize the game 2-1 against Shanghai Greenland in the 21st round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday, winning their fourth straight match in a row.

After a scoreless first half, the visiting Shanghai Greenland took the lead as Freddy Guarin converted the penalty shot in the 53rd minute. Five minutes later, Gao Lin equalized the score.

Yang Liyu, who was substituted in the 81st minute, headed the ball into the net in the injury time. His goal celebration of taking off the shirt earned him a yellow card.

With the 2-1 victory, Guangzhou Evergrande rank third on the table, just three points behind league leaders Beijing Guoan.

Elsewhere, Jiangsu Suning tied Tianjin Quanjian 1-1. Alex Teixeira broke the deadlock for Jiangsu Suning in the 18th minute as he played a wall pass with Eder Martins on the edge of the Quanjian box and continued his run into the area and slotted calmly past the goalkeeper.

The substitute Su Yuanjie scored the equalizer for Tianjin Quanjian in the 80th minute as he chested down Sun Ke's cross and fired a shot into the net.

Also on Sunday, Henan Jianye tied Changchun Yatai 1-1, Guizhou Hengfeng tied Beijing Renhe 1-1.
