Guangdong in the spotlight of ‘the Crossroads of the World’

Guangzhou’s Canton Tower and Kaiping’s watchtowers have enjoyed the spotlight after being featured on NASDAQ’s massive digital screen in New York’s Times Square. The advertisement is part of the 'Chinese Americans Tracing Roots in Guangdong’ series presented by ‘Little Ma Big Ha’program of GDTV.

A special launch ceremony was held in collaboration with the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou, the number one hotel for international visitors in the city, on August 16.

The 'Chinese Americans Tracing Roots in Guangdong' series features three special episodes, starring world-famous chef Martin Yan, fitness expert Rubin Chang and Kung Fu actor Justin Ming-ho Hong. The episodes are set in Kaiping and Foshan and feature the culinary delights of Guangdong, the famous diaolou watchtowers of Kaiping and the diverse kung fu culture of Foshan. The series was filmed and produced by a team of videographers with years of experience in the production of documentaries from GDTV World and includes stunning aerial shots filmed by drones.

The program will debut on the 1st of September both locally and internationally through online platforms, and follow up episodes will broadcast on the 8th and 15th of September. The episodes will be aired on the 6th and 13th of October on GDTV World’s Canton Today program.
