On August 11st, the 2018 South China Book Festival (Foshan), namely Foshan Book Fair Carnival was officially launched in Nanhai, Foshan. With the theme of “New Era, Reading From the Heart”, this Book Festival invites celebrities from various fields to share their reading experiences.
At the same time, it also introduced a series of reading cultural activities for the public to participate in. Citizens can enjoy a 15% discount when buying book on the festival.
With 279 public libraries and over 20 million paper books and e-books at present, public reading infrastructure in Foshan becomes increasingly advanced, after which the public has shown a strong interest in reading and “civil-reading” has become the trend.
In the future, Foshan will strive to build the Book Festival into a demonstration platform and cultural event to enhance the cultural image of Foshan, serve the broad masses of the people and try hard to create a more fragrant atmosphere in Foshan.
