“Made-in-Guangdong” to penetrate South-east Asia

“From today, Guangdong enterprises will have a better chance of utilizing high-level platforms at home and abroad, introducing high-quality projects from South-east Asia and highlighting Guangdong products”, said Lin Ji, Deputy Secretary-general of Guangdong provincial government.

At the seventh general assembly of the Guangdong Chamber of International Commerce which held in Guangzhou on Wednesday, the South-east Asia Investment and Trade Alliance was established.

“Made-in-Guangdong enjoys a good reputation in China. For example, 80% of entertainment equipment is made in Guangdong. Now we have successfully brought these products to world-class events such as the Russian World Cup, the Jakarta Asian Games, etc. The CCPIT Guangdong and the newly-founded alliance can lead us in our efforts to go global”, said Wang Ruixiang, the president of the Ruifeng Tech. speaking as a representative of the Guangdong chamber of international commerce.

During the conference, Lin Ji, Lin Tao, the president of the CCPIT Guangdong and Zhang Yi, deputy secretary of the China Chamber of International Commerce issued licences to the Deputy Member Units. The conference also audited the work report on the chamber presented by Yao Xinmin, the vice president of the CCPIT Guangdong.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Guangdong Chamber of International Commerce. The chamber now has 7,337 members and has forged three regional investment & trade alliances which are the Investment and Trade Alliance of Africa, South Asia and South-east Asia. The chamber of commerce has developed into the largest, most influential of its kind in the province.
