On March 7th, President Xi Jinping joined a panel discussion with the deputies from Guangdong Province at the first session of the 13th National People’s Congress in Beijing, highlighting development, human capital and innovation.
That evening, Guangdong deputies held a plenary meeting in order to get to the heart of President Xi’s speech in the panel discussion and begin the work of conveying Xi’s instructions to the province.
Li Xi, Party Chief of Guangdong Province, said that we must carefully study President Xi’s speech in order to fully comprehend the instructions given by President Xi to Guangdong, and strive to build the province into a key ‘demonstration area’, ‘window’ to the world on the implementation of Xi’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Li Xi also stated that the whole province will conduct in-depth research on how to take the lead in economic restructuring, scientific innovation, opening-up and better governance.
