The Global Promotion Conference of Guangzhou Fair & China (Guangzhou) Fishery & Seafood Expo was held on Jan 18. It appealed the attendees to develop global fishery industry together, and to create new business opportunity of cooperation between China and foreign countries.
Organized by Guangzhou Cooperation Office, Organizing Committees of Guangzhou Fair and Guangzhou Fishex 2018, Guangdong Aquatic Products Processing & Marketing Alliance, the promotion conference strengthened the exchanges among governments, industry associations and consulate generals in Guangzhou.
It attracted representatives from consulate generals in Guangzhou, including Russia, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, Norway, the United Arab of Emirates, Ecuador, Malaysia, Thailand, Senegal,etc.
At the meeting, Mr Liao Yuxun, deputy director of Guangzhou Cooperation Office, raised the ideas of co-business, co-build, sharing, and hoped to get the ideas of all the attendees to co-build developing platform for fishery industry, interconnection and interworking, share the the achievement of fishery industry, so as to push the healthy, scientific and sustainable development of fishery in the world.
According to Mr Lin Guopeng, the president of Guangdong Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance, Guangdong is the frontier of China's reform and opening up, has large circulation and consumption as well. The meeting helped to strengthen the relationship among governments, associations, overseas institutions in Guangzhou and promote the development of aquatic products.
With the theme of "Fishex in Guangzhou,linking you to the world", global high-level seafood tasting activity was held at the same time.

The China Guangzhou Fishex 2018 is going to be held on on August 24 - 26, 2018. Guangzhou Fishex is an expo, which aims to promote cooperation, scientific and technological development, as well as industrial development and market consumption. Finally, it will become the most international and professional fishery expo in southern China.
Guangdong, with permanent population about 120 million, is a major aquatic product consumption province. According to statistics, in 2016, Guangdong’s total output of aquatic product was 8.74 million tons, with the annual consumption more than 7 million tons.With the development of economy,the level of national income is improving constantly,so diversified aquatic products would be needed obviously.At the same time,the development of cross-border E-commerce and cold chain logistics will further promote the global fishery cooperation.
