Xiangzhou District in Zhuhai welcomed a group from the United States-based Kneron Inc to discuss the launch of its latest artificial intelligence (AI) project on Aug 15.
Kneron was established two years ago and is headquartered in San Diego. It is engaged in providing integrated solutions for AI and deep learning. The company has helped to commercialize products at Samsung, Qualcomm and other Fortune top 100 companies.
The founder and CEO of the company – Albert Liu is a leading expert in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design, EDA, image processing, and computer vision algorithms, with 14 years of experience in hardware and software systems development.

Albert holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA), having taken part in over 30 publications in these fields, and patenting more than 20 inventions.
Kneron's company executives expressed positive attitudes towards Xiangzhou's development prospects in terms of emerging industries, especially AI and intelligent manufacturing. The company is planning to establish a new branch in Xiangzhou, taking advantage of favorable government policies.
The visitors toured Taifook Plaza where the project is likely to be established.
District Chief Liu Qiying welcomed the establishment of the project and promised comprehensive service support in its later development.
