The 23rd Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Summit & TEA Awards Gala was held in Anaheim, Los Angeles on April 22. The 5D Castle Theater at Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong Ocean Kingdom won the 2016 TEA Outstanding Achievement award, becoming the first Chinese tourism brand to receive this award, Zhujiang Evening News reports.
Hengqin Chimelong Ocean Kingdom received the 2014 TEA Outstanding Achievement for Theme Park in 2015. The Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort was also nominated for the best theme park in 2015, representing the increased attention that the Guangdong Chimelong Group is receiving in the world as a Chinese tourism brand.
Chimelong Ocean Kingdom stood out from over 160 competing theme parks all around the globe, becoming the first theme park in China to receivethis award. The TEA Awards Gala honored 15 projects and people out of over onehundred competitors from all over the world.
