Guangzhou sent out Forum invitations in capital city of US

On March 14, local time, a roadshow meeting of 2017 Fortune Global Forum was held in Washington, DC.

At the meeting, Cai Chaolin, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, introduced Guangzhou’s initiative of developing the international transportation hub and modern commercial metropolis, and invited Fortune Global 500 companies in the US to participate in 2017 Fortune Global Forum Guangzhou.

Representatives of GE, Goldman Sachs and other leading US companies discussed “open thinking and innovative genes” with representatives of iFLYTEK and other companies from Guangzhou.

The meeting was hosted by Guangzhou municipal government, led by Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce and Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Finance, and organized by Guangzhou Development District.

On the same day, the offices of Guangzhou municipal government in Silicon Valley and Boston were inaugurated, marking the official establishment of Guangzhou’s first offices abroad.

As the contact agencies of Guangzhou in the western and eastern parts of the US, the offices will fulfill the functions of “service, liaison and communication”, by centering on the work deployment of building a new pattern of opening up, and acting as a “special envoy” and bridge of international cooperation in technology innovation.

They will take the initiative to contact the technology departments, institutions and enterprises in the country and regions to promote the exchange and cooperation on technology innovation achievements, projects and talents between foreign countries and Guangzhou, and serve Guangzhou’s construction of international technological innovation hub.
