Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau held a work conference on Feb.23 to discuss issues related to economy and people's livelihoods.
According to the Bureau, Guangzhou has recommended 16 experts to get the State Council Special Allowance and set up 9 postdoctoral bases for innovation and practice in 2016. Last year, the city has also issued 1220 talent green cards and implemented 15 projects for high-end foreign experts. Guangzhou was honored "the most attractive Chinese cities for foreigners" for the fourth time.
At the conference, the Bureau also stressed that introducing talents is one of the priorities for the work of human resources and social security in this year. To build the city as the highland of talents, Guangzhou will upgrade the Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents in China, build the "green channel" for introducing top talents, bring the "talent green card policy" into full play and push forward the integration of the Visa-R and Visa-Z.
