According to the data released by Ctrip, one of the main providers of travel services in China, the volume of hotel reservations increased year on year.
Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjiang, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Xiamen and Wuhanare the top 10 cities for hotel bookings in Valentine’s Day.
t is noted that 52% hotel reservations on the Valentine’s Day come from men while 48% from women which increases 2% than last year.
Furthermore, data showed that post-80s and 90s are the major consumer groups in the Valentine’s Day. They prefer high star-level hotels than love hotels.
According to the data, service quality, comfort level of bed and room facilities are the main considerations for couples to choose hotels. In addition, room with French windows is the most popular type for post-80s and 90s generation, while rooms with king-size bed ranks the second.
