According to Guangzhou Metro, Guangzhou Metro Line 9 is scheduled to open by the end of 2017.
It is reported that the designed speed of trains in Line 9 is 120km/hour, which can be used in Guangzhou Metro Line 3 as well. All the trains are manufactured by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive CO.,LTD.
Furthermore, the trains set up wheelchair area in the coaches for the disabled.
Guangzhou Metro Line 9 has 11 stations, with 2 for interchange with Line 3 and Line 8. The whole line goes through Huadu District and connects Huadu District to the city center of Guangzhou.
The 11 stations of Line 9 is as follows:
Feie Ling-Huadu Automobile Industry Base-Guangzhou North Railway station-Huacheng Road-Huaguoshan Park-Huadu Square-Maanshan Park-Liantang Cun-Qingbu-Qingtang-Gaozeng
飞鹅岭-花都汽车城-广州北站-花城路-花果山公园-花都广场-马鞍山公园-莲塘村-清埗-清塘-高增
People can interchange with Line 3 at Gaozeng and Line 8 at Guangzhou North Railway Station.
In Shenzhen, another important city in Guangdong, is going to construct 4 new metro lines in 2017. They are Line 12 (from Zuopaotai to Haishang Tianyuan), Line 13 (Shenzhen Bay Custom to Xi Li), Line 14 (Gangxia Bei to Sha Tian) and Line 16 (Da Yun to Tian Tou). It is reported that these 4 lines will be finished by the end of 2022.
In addition, Zhuhai will build two metro lines around 2020. The planning routes are Jiuzhou Wan-Jinwan (Line 1) and Zhuhai Railway Station-Tanjia Wan (Line 2). It is estimated that the project will be completed in 2025.
