Nature, the world famous science journal released its latest Nature Index 2017, so called the Institution outputs recently. 7 hospitals from Guangdong rank top 50 on the table of Chinese health sector for their high-quality scientific output.
These 7 hospitals are Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (4), Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases (7), First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University (31), Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (33), The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (34), Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital (46) and the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (49).
The statistical range of Nature Index 2017 is from Dec.1, 2015 to Dec.31, 2016, which ordered by a method called weighted fractional count.
It is introduced that the Nature Index is a database collated from research articles published in an independently selected group of 68 high-quality science journals, such as Science and Cell.
Furthermore, a total of 9 Guangdong hospitals are on the list of “Top 100 Chinese Hospitals” which published by Fudan University.

It is noted that Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases not only on the list of Nature Index, but also leads the nation in Respiratory Department.
