Between 6pm May 25 and 6am May 26, Guangzhou reported two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one new asymptomatic case from the screening at the Mingxin Branch of Liwan District People's Hospital of Guangzhou (荔湾区人民医院明心院区). The three cases, who are family members and live together, have been transferred to the Guangzhou No. 8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.

Confirmed case No. 1: Ms. Song, 74 years old, retired, lives in the East Lane No. 2, Heyuan Xiaoqu (鹤园小区东二巷). Song had morning tea at the Youyijian Dimsum & Tearoom at 668#, Kangwang Zhong Road (康王中路668号又一间茶点轩) on the morning of May 19, when previous confirmed case Ms. Guo dined there at the same time.

Confirmed case No. 2: Xu, grandson of Ms. Song, 11 years old, studies at the 4th class of 5th grade at Peizhen Primary School (培真小学).

Asymptomatic case: Ms. Lei, daughter-in-law of Ms. Song, 38 years old, works in a beauty salon at the Zone A of One Blossom Cove (中海花湾壹号A区).

The three cases tested positive for COVID-19 on the afternoon of May 25, and retested positive by Guangzhou CDC on the morning of May 26.

According to the epidemiological survey, Liwan's COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters calls on the following people to go to the nearest nucleic acid testing sites for tests immediately:

● Residents of Heyuan Xiaoqu (鹤园小区);

● Students, faculty and staff of Peizhen Primary School (培真小学) and their family members who live together;

● People who visited Haowanjia Boutique Supermarket (好万佳精品超市), Xilang Market (西朗市场), Mingxin Branch of Liwan District People's Hospital of Guangzhou (荔湾区人民医院明心院区), Heping Xiaoqu (鹤平小区), and Zone A of One Blossom Cove (中海花湾壹号A区) between May 19 and May 25;

● People who visited Youyijian Dimsum & Tearoom on No. 668 of Kangwang Zhong Road (康王中路668号又一间茶点轩) between May 15 and May 21 should report to the community as soon as possible.

People living and working in the above-mentioned areas should stay home and avoid gatherings before the results of nucleic acid testing come out. If you feel unwell, please go to the nearest hospital to see a doctor without delay.

Man in Zhanjiang quarantined for having indirect contact with Maoming's asymptomatic case

On the evening of May 24, one man surnamed Liang has been put under medical observation in Zhanjiang's Wuchuan for having indirect contact with Maoming's asymptomatic case of COVID-19 Ms. Yao.

On the morning of May 26, the nucleic acid test samples of Mr. Liang and 11 close contacts all showed negative, so did the 6 samples of external environment. Now, Mr. Liang and 28 close and general contacts have been transferred to a designated venue for medical observation.

As of 4pm on May 25, 19 people who had close contact with the asymptomatic case Ms. Yao in Maoming had been put under quarantine; another 192 close contacts of the 19 people have been identified and reached. As of 3pm on May 25, 3,160 nucleic acid test samples had been collected and all showed negative from key populations.

● Pang Ge Liang Restaurant in Jiangyu Century Plaza, Xingning District (胖哥俩餐厅兴宁区江宇世纪广场店);

● Jiangyu Shijicheng Community Phase 2 (江宇世纪城小区2期);

● Luogong Hall in Jinling Town (金陵镇螺公堂)

● Jinling Health Center (金陵卫生院)

● Jinling Village committee in Jinling Town (金陵镇金陵村村委)

● Nanning Changmao Wood Industry Co., Ltd. (南宁市昌茂木业公司)

As of 6:30pm on May 25, 18 close contacts and 67 secondary close contacts had been investigated. Among them, 37 were quarantined at home, 29 had been transferred to a designated quarantine venue, and 19 were in transit.

As of May 25, 86 samples had been collected for nucleic acid tests, and the results of 58 were negative. As of 6pm on May 25, a total of 13,022 people had completed nucleic acid tests in Jinling Town, and the results are yet to be released.
