Starting from February 17th, Guangzhou is lighting up the city to hail the province’s medical workers who are fighting COVID-19 in Hubei.

Photos of these ‘heroes in harm’s way’ are displayed on over 30 LED screens on landmark buildings across the city for about one week. The project has been organised by Southern Metropolis Daily and the city’s Publicity Department. As of now, Guangdong has sent over 2,147 medical workers to assist in the fight against COVID-19 in Hubei.
