The 13th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition is scheduled for September 28 to October 3 in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. More than 700 enterprises from nearly 40 countries including China, USA, Britain, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, Canada, Brazil will attend the event online or offline.

The exhibition is one of the largest defense exhibitions in the world and the only regular occasion for members of the public to closely observe Chinese weapons, especially those designed for export purposes.

The number of exhibition halls will increase from 8 to 11 this year, covering an indoor area of 100 thousand square meters and an outdoor area of 360 thousand square meters. The exhibition will feature more than 100 aircraft, various types of cutting-edge weapons, latest aerospace and national defense technologies, performance by Chinese Air Force's August 1st Air Demonstration Team and equipment of air-ground integration.

Zhou Guoqiang, assistant to the general manager of Aviation Industry Corp of China and spokesman for the State-owned defense conglomerate, said nearly 40 percent of the hardware will be on show at the exhibition for the first time, and an AG600 seaplane prototype is set to conduct its debut flight at the event, also known as the Zhuhai Airshow.

Zou Wenchao, a deputy general manager of China North Industries Group, said at the news conference that his company, the country's biggest maker of land armaments, plans to send 153 pieces of equipment to the event, ranging from main battle tanks and armored vehicles to smart munitions and small unmanned planes, and 62 of the exhibits will be displayed at the exhibition for the first time.

In addition, the exhibition will unveil a series of world-leading products, technology, services and achievements. It is also the first time to launch the "cloud aviation and aerospace exhibition". New technologies such as 5G, VR/AR and APP will be applied to the air show this year. The China National Space Administration is going to display the lunar samples brought back by China's Chang'e-5 probe on the exhibition.

Focusing on aerospace and national defence industry, the exhibition will include more than 100 industrial events in forms of forum, conference and presentation. This exhibition is jointly organized by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, China National Space Administration and other 13 organizers.
