On August 2, free vaccination oriented to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwanese teenagers aged from 12 to 17 was initiated in Shenzhen. And vaccination for foreign national teenagers in Guangdong is estimated to begin in September, the exact launch time will be announced later.

Shenzhen has lately started a phased vaccination for teenagers aged from 12 to 17, dividing all the eligible into four groups - Chinese mainland students; Chinese mainland out-of-school teenagers; Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan teenagers; foreign national teenagers, each with different application channels and vaccination schedules.

Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan teenagers can apply for vaccines through their school or by themselves, and get jabbed at designated points - ten medical institutions including the University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen Hospital (HKU-SZH), Shenzhen Luohu People's Hospital, Shenzhen Shekou People's Hospital amongst others.

Since August 3, vaccination has been in progress in HKU-SZH, and is now open to online application on "Healthy Shenzhen" ("健康深圳") WeChat official account.

For now, the vaccines available are inactivated vaccines produced by two companies only - Beijing Institute of Biological Products and Sinovac Research & Development, with the same dosage and delivery system.
