The 29th Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) will be staged from August 5 to 7 in Area C, Canton Fair Complex, with participants from 55 countries and regions attending this event.

The fair will be held in both online and offline formats. The online exhibition plans to establish digital virtual halls with multiple platforms serving to promote real-time interactions and intelligent business negotiations. Tourism bureaus from plenty of countries and regions will join in the online exhibition.

As for the offline part, many countries and regions such as Italy, Germany, Poland as well as China’s Hong Kong and Macao SARs will attend the fair. Visitors can enjoy the colorful charms of the global tourist destinations in Guangzhou without having to travel.

A number of domestic travel companies such as CGZL, Chimelong Tourist Resort and Guangzhou Sunac Resort will also join in to bring abundant tourism products for the visitors.

Cities such as Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Foshan are about to jointly showcase the distinctive tourism of South China. In addition, many domestic destinations like Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing will also show up to promote their tourist programs.

Highlights of the 29th GITF

The Fair is divided into a series of themed areas featuring revolutionary stories of CPC, film and television, cultural and creative products, intangible cultural heritage, B&B experience as well as sports tourism carnival.

The cultural and creative area will invite local museums in the city such as The Museum of the Nanyue King of Western Han Dynasty, Guangdong Folk Arts Museum and Guangzhou Museum of Art, to showcase cultural and creative products and scenes. At the intangible cultural heritage area, you will be able to enjoy a series of programs such as Guangdong embroidery, paper-cutting and clay sculpture as well as their inheritors, the modern-day experts.

B&B experience area will display nine tourist lodges on site, where visitors can enjoy home party, pottery, Cantonese cuisine and special agricultural products.

Last but not least, the exhibition will also set up a sports tourism carnival, displaying a variety of sports products such as diving equipment and paraglider. Moreover, professional coaches will be invited to carry out sport teaching during the three-day fair.
