"We filmed Zheng He's voyage to the Arabian Peninsula, especially his visit to Qatar (Foverit) into a documentary, exploring the profound influence of Zheng He's voyages on today's two countries, reflecting the Silk Road spirit of win-win cooperation, openness and tolerance."
Deng Hong, deputy director-general of the Information Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government, explained that the documentary will focus on exploring the historical footprints of Zheng He's activities in the coastal countries along the Ancient Maritime Silk Road.
Luo Jun, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office, People's Government of Guangdong Province, pointed out that the Maritime Silk Road described in the book is also a road full of friendship and sunshine, and is also a road of prosperity and hope towards common well-being.
