A new pedestrian bridge across the Pearl River, named Haixin Bridge, was officially opened on June 25.

Running from Ersha island to the southern bank of the Pearl River in the city's central business district, the footbridge is currently the largest of its kind in the world.

Tourists and residents can now walk from Canton Tower, commonly known as Xiaomanyao, to Ersha, Huacheng Square, Haixinsha Asian Games theme park, the Guangdong Museum and other landmarks in the city's Zhujiang New Town in Tianhe district.

The Bridge is open from 7:00 to 23:00 by appointment only, with a capacity of 2500 visitors per hour.

Step 1: Follow the Bridge’s WeChat official account “海心桥 (pinyin: hai xin qiao)”

Step 2: Click “海心桥预约系统 (pinyin: hai xin qiao yu yue xi tong)” to start your appointment

Step 3: Fill in your personal information

Step 4: You will receive a QR code after successfully booking your appointment. Please show it to the staff members of the Bridge when you arrive there.
