Guangdong is ramping up its inoculation drive currently, especially the second doses of vaccines. Do you know how to reserve the second jab in your city? Here is the guideline for you.

Expats can make an appointment in Wechat mini-program "粤健通(pinyin: yue jian tong)”, which has covered Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhuhai and more cities in Guangdong.

How to make reservation via "Yuejiantong"?

Step 1: Scan the QR code to enter "Yuejiantong" and log in

Expats in Guangzhou can also create a profile with your passport information and register for vaccination in "广州健康通 (pinyin: guang zhou jian kang tong)" Wechat mini-program.

Expats in Shenzen can also reserve the second shot in "深圳卫健委 (pinyin: shen zhen wei jian wei)” Wechat official account with your passport.

Detailed requirements for receiving the second dose in 21 cities of Guangdong

Guangzhou:

Residents can search the WeChat mini-program named “广州健康通 (pinyin: guang zhou jian kang tong)”, and then choose the “新冠疫苗接种预约 (pinyin: xin guan yi miao jie zhong yu yue)” to register for reservation. The system will automatically arrange the vaccination and send a text message to the registrant.

Shenzhen:

Residents can reserve the second dose through four WeChat official accounts, namely, “深圳卫健委 (pinyin: shen zhen wei jian wei)”, “深圳疾控 (pinyin: shen zhen ji kong)” , “社康通 (pinyin: she kang tong)” and “健康深圳 (pinyin: jian kang shen zhen)”. Alternatively, they can also register for vaccination in local communities.

Zhuhai:

If residents have got the first shot in the last 21 days in Zhuhai, they can make an appointment for the second dose at 5 p.m. every day at the WeChat official account “健康珠海 (pinyin jian kang zhu hai)”. For those who have received the first dose outside of Zhuhai, they need to submit related documents for review at this official account prior to the appointment.

Shantou:

From now until June 30, residents who have received the first dose for 21 days can reserve the second dose through an App named “粤苗 (pinyin: yue miao)”, their employer or local communities.

Foshan:

The city will prioritize second shots for residents between 18 and 59 years old. Residents can contact their communities for latest information about vaccination, or follow the official account of local districts and health departments to learn more about the vaccination sites.

Shaoguan:

There is no need to make an appointment for the second jab in most regions of Shaoguan, and residents can get inoculated on site. For those who have got the first jab outside of Shaoguan and never travelled to pandemic-related cities in the previous 14 days, they can also get the second dose in the city.

Heyuan:

Residents who have received the first jab in the last 21 days can go to any vaccination site in the city to get the second dose.

Meizhou:

Residents who have been inoculated for more than 21 days can receive the second dose with their inoculation voucher and ID card/passport without reservation at the vaccination site where they got the first jab or nearby to where they live.

Huizhou:

Residents can reserve the vaccination in the WeChat mini-program “惠州市新冠病毒疫苗预约 (pinyin: hui zhou shi xin guan bing du yi miao yu yue)”, Residents can also choose the nearest location to get inoculated.

Most of the vaccination sites in the city offer a variety of ways for vaccine reservation, such as phone call, the WeChat mini-program, WeChat official account and “粤苗 (pinyin: yue miao)” app. Residents can also make an appointment at their local communities and get vaccinated as a group.

Shanwei:

Most vaccination points in Shanwei do not require a reservation. Residents can get the second jab with their first-jab certificate at the vaccination sites. For those who have received the first dose outside of Shanwei and never travelled to pandemic-related cities, they can also get the second dose in the city.

Dongguan:

Residents need to make an appointment at local communities.

Zhongshan:

For residents who have received the first dose of vaccination for over 30 days never traveled to pandemic-related cities and never contacted the suspected cases, they can get the second jab just with their first-jab voucher at any vaccination site in Zhongshan.

Jiangmen:

In Jiangmen, residents can either choose an online appointment or group reservation for the second jab of vaccines. Residents can follow the WeChat official account “江门疾控 (pinyin: jiang men ji kong)” to get information on vaccination sites and on how to reserve.

Yangjiang:

Those who have got the first dose in Yangjiang will receive the notification about getting the second jab from local authorities, or they can also reserve the second shot by themselves through the WeChat mini-program “粤健通 (pinyin: yue kang tong)” or app “粤苗 (pinyin: yue miao)”.

Zhanjiang:

Most vaccination sites in Zhanjiang will notify eligible residents in advance for the second shot. Residents who do not receive notification by phone or text message and have not reserved online should consult the vaccination sites by phone before going to the sites.

Maoming:

From June 13 to June 30, residents who have been vaccinated with the first dose for more than 21 days can make appointments for the second vaccination in local communities or by booking online through WeChat mini-program “粤健通 (pinyin: yue kang tong)” or app “粤苗 (pinyin: yue miao)”.

Zhaoqing:

Residents who have received the first dose over 21 days can make an appointment for the second shot through the channels offered by local authorities. It is recommended that residents choose the vaccination site where they received the first dose.

Qingyuan:

Residents who have received the first jab more than 21 days ago will receive a text message from the vaccination site telling them to get the second jab.

Chaozhou:

Residents who have received the first jab 21 days ago will receive a text message from the previous vaccination site telling them to get the second jab.

Jieyang:

Residents who have been vaccinated with the first dose for 21 days can make appointments for the second vaccination in local communities or by booking online through WeChat mini-program “粤健通 (pinyin: yue kang tong)” or app “粤苗 (pinyin: yue miao)”. In addition, they should choose to receive the second dose at the vaccination site where they got the first jab.

Yunfu:

Residents in Yunfu can reserve the second shot through the WeChat mini-program “云浮预防接种服务 (pinyin: yun fu yu fang jie zhong fu wu)”.
