On June 18, Guangdong had 6 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 2 in Guangzhou, 2 in Shenzhen, 1 in Foshan and 1 in Dongguan.

The province also reported 8 imported confirmed cases, with 1 in Guangzhou from Libya; 1 in Shenzhen from South Africa, 6 in Zhuhai from Bangladesh.

The province had 18 imported asymptomatic cases, including 3 in Guangzhou from France, Cambodia and Burundi; 1 in Shenzhen from South Sudan; 1 in Zhuhai from Benin; 11 in Zhongshan from Gabon and Benin; 1 in Zhaoqing from Maldives.

As of June 18, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,680 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,117 imported.

Update on new local confirmed COVID-19 cases

New cases in Guangzhou and Foshan under centralized medical observation before

2 newly confirmed COVID-19 case in Guangzhou were in Liwan's Baihedong Street, and both of them had been quarantined quarantined with centralized medical observation at a designated hotel since June 7.

A new locally-transmitted COVID-19 patient in Foshan was in Zhonghaijincheng community in Nanhai district. His community has been placed under closed management since June 4. One district in Guangzhou resumes dine-in services

According to the latest epidemic control and prevention notice issued by Zengcheng, the district has resumed dine-in services from June 18, requiring restaurants set up tables not exceeding 70% of the usual, and should serve at most ten people at each table.

All restaurants are required to follow epidemic prevention and control measures, including wearing masks, checking temperature and health codes. Also, restaurants should provide serving chopsticks and spoons for customers.

 

2 areas in Shenzhen and Dongguan adjusted to medium risk

The local authorities of Shenzhen and Dongguan, adjusted one area of COVID-19 risk rate to medium risk on June 18 and June 19, respectively.
