“The community where I live carried out mass nucleic acid testing. It only took 15 minutes for 100 people to finish tests. I can get help from the local government or institutes if I need it.” This is Anna Dotsenko’s experience during the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Guangzhou.

Anna comes from Russia and now works as the project manager at China-Ukraine (Huangpu) International Innovation Research Institute. This is the third year that she has lived in China. To decide where to end up living, she used to travel to many of China’s cities two or three times a year. Later, she moved to Huangpu.

Guangzhou issued "An Open Letter to Foreign Nationals in Guangdong". It’s suggested to avoid non-essential group activities, get vaccinated, and go to the hospital if symptoms like fever, cough shows. Anna helped to translate it into Russian and send it to our Russian-speaking partners in Guangzhou.

“I’ve seen a remarkable COVID-19 prevention and control system. It's great that I live in China. Everyone's health was important to the whole country. I think many countries need to learn from it.” Anna comments.
