Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission reported that there were 6 newly confirmed local COVID-19 cases, 1 confirmed case that was previously an asymptomatic case and 1 imported confirmed case yesterday.

As of 24:00 yesterday, there are a total of 845 confirmed imported cases and 457 confirmed domestic cases (including imported related cases). A total of 1,198 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital, and 1 patient died from the disease. Total COVID-19 hospitalizations are currently at 103.

From 0:00 to 24:00 yesterday, 3 new locally asymptomatic cases and 4 imported asymptomatic cases were added.

Imported confirmed case No.1: Male, 43 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Bengal on June 3, by flight CZ392, and arrived in Guangzhou on the same day.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.1: Female, 22 years old, Chinese national. She departed from France on May 20, by flight CZ348, and arrived in Guangzhou the next day.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.2: Female, 27 years old, Chinese national. She departed from Canada on May 19, by flight WS709 and CZ330, and arrived in Guangzhou the next day.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.3: Male, 35 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Cambodia on June 3, by flight K6668, and arrived in Guangzhou on the same day.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.4: Male, 48 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Cameroon on May 16, by flight TK669 and TK72, and arrived in Guangzhou on the same day.

After entering Guangzhou, the 5 cases were transferred to the designated quarantine site in accordance with the full close-loop management procedure. Then they were transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People’s Hospital for isolation and treatment after getting positive results in nucleic acid tests for COVID-19.
