On May 12th, Mr. Giulio Zhang, the masterchef from Italian restaurant Bellavita in Foshan, shared the inspiration of his dish called "Fuoco Freddo" (meaning cold flame) in an event entitled "Masterclass Guangzhou 2021". Following Zhang's instruction, over 40 attendees from local F&B sectors, media outlets and related industries made their own dish step by step.

After the first step of "Semifreddo" (meaning Italian style spiced custard), attendees got to know more about Italian chocolates, including their production, origin, history and benefits from the presentation given by Nicola Di Silvestro from Novi, a brand of Italian chocolates. They then used the Italian chocolates to make chocolate chips and crumbs for their desserts.

Before adding the Gelato to their dishes, the DIYers also got a glimpse of how the Gelato machine made strawberry sorbetto at the site, which was an eye opener for many people.

Last but not least, the participants decorated their own dishes with a piece of Ferrero Rocher chocolate and tasted it with a small glass of "Carmenos", passito rosso Veneto IGT.

The event was held in the frame of the project "True Italian Taste", which was promoted and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and carried out by Assocamerestero in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce to enhance and safeguard the authentic Italian food products.
