The China-Europe freight train service has become a popular logistic choice since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Today, Cecilia from Bigship Guangdong TalkShow will bring you to the Guangzhou-Manzhouli-Russia freight train. The route departs from Guangzhou to Vorsino via Manzhouli at a weekly basis.
Guangdong now has 4 China-Europe freight train stations connecting with Russia, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Belarus, Lithuania, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The 4 Guangdong stations include Guangzhou Dalang, Dongguan Shilong, Dongguan Changping, Shenzhen Pinghu.
The demand for China-Europe freight train service has been growing sharply since 2020. Each train now carries 50 containers loaded about 400 to 600-ton cargos, which has reached the limit of shipment.
The customs staff introduced that the service is stable as it's hardly affected by weather. And the shipping time and cost are relatively low. It takes about 15 days for the train to travel from Guangzhou to Europe, which is one third of the time needed for shipping. Meanwhile, its cost is much lower than air freight.
The scope of cargos from Guangzhou expanded from lamps, refrigerators, routers, manufacturing equipment, shoes and printers in 2020, according to Guangdong Materials Group Corporation, the organizer of the China-Europe freight train service in Guangzhou.
As the China-Europe freight train service expands, more made-in-Guangdong products will enter new overseas market while more European products will enter the Chinese market.
